Umrah from Jordan

For many Jordanian families, Umrah is the most important journey of the year. It can be made by air or by road, in Ramadan or a quiet winter month, for a few days or a full two weeks. This guide explains what a typical Umrah package includes, what shapes the cost and how to choose the best time to go — so you can focus on worship, not logistics.

What a package includes

A complete Umrah package from Jordan typically covers:

  • Your Umrah booking and permit on the official Nusuk platform, which is required for every pilgrim

  • Return travel from Amman, by air or by coach for road journeys

  • Hotels in Makkah and Madinah, with a choice of distance from the Haram

  • Transfers between the airport, Makkah and Madinah

  • Guided ziyarat visits to historic sites in Makkah and Madinah

  • Support from our Programs Team before and during the trip

Health requirements also apply: Saudi Arabia requires the quadrivalent (ACYW) meningitis vaccine, taken at least 10 days before arrival, and other health rules can be added in some seasons.

What shapes the cost

We do not publish fixed prices here because Umrah costs change with the season and availability. These factors make the biggest difference:

  • The season: Ramadan, especially the last ten nights, and school holidays are the most in demand

  • Hotel category and distance from the Haram

  • Travelling by air or by road

  • Room sharing: double, triple or quad rooms

  • The length of stay and the split between Makkah and Madinah

Best months to go

Ramadan is the most spiritually rewarding time for many pilgrims, and also the busiest. The months after the Hajj season and the winter months are usually calmer, with cooler weather and easier hotel availability. Summer is very hot in Makkah and Madinah, so plan rest around midday.

Umrah travel from abroad is usually paused in the weeks leading up to and during the Hajj season each year, so check the current season dates before you book.
