Fethiye
If Trabzon is Turkey's green north, Fethiye is its blue south — where the Aegean meets the Mediterranean along a coast of turquoise bays, pine-covered cliffs, and Lycian tombs carved into the rocks. It's Turkey's honeymoon capital and the gateway to paragliding, Blue Cruise yachts, and the world-famous Ölüdeniz lagoon. Butterfly Valley
A turquoise bay reachable only by boat — home to dozens of butterfly species and a waterfall 30 minutes inland.
Paragliding off Babadağ
1,960 m launch, 40-min tandem flight over the lagoon. Operates April–November; safe, instructor-led.
Saklıkent Gorge
A 300 m-deep canyon with an ice-cold river — wade barefoot between limestone walls. Trout lunch at the entrance.
Kaya Köyü Ghost Village
An abandoned 1923 hillside town of 500 stone houses — Greek-Orthodox past, hauntingly beautiful sunset.
Blue Cruise (Gulet)
3- or 7-day wooden yacht from Fethiye to Olympos — swim stops, sunset cocktails, Lycian coast views.
When to Go
Seasonal guide
The sea warms up mid-June and stays swimmable until late October. Paragliding is best on stable autumn days. May – June: Warm, not crushing, wildflowers. Ideal honeymoon window. July – August: Peak (35°C+). Crowded, expensive — but kids' paradise. September – October: Warm sea, empty beaches, stable paragliding. Our favourite. November – April: Low season. Paragliding mostly closed, Blue Cruise off-line.

Day by day

Day 1 — Arrival Dalaman · Ölüdeniz: Airport pickup at Dalaman (45 min to Ölüdeniz), check-in at a beachfront hotel. Sunset walk along the lagoon boardwalk.

Day 2 — Paragliding · Butterfly Valley boat: Morning paragliding from Babadağ (weather-permitting). Afternoon boat trip to Butterfly Valley with swim & waterfall hike.

Day 3 — 12-Island Boat Tour: Full-day boat tour from Fethiye harbour — Red Island, Cleopatra's Hammam, Aquarium Bay, Yassıca Islands. Six swim stops, lunch on board.

Day 4 — Saklıkent Gorge · Tlos ruins: Morning: wade through the cold gorge, trout lunch at Yakapark, afternoon at Tlos ancient Lycian city with cliff-cut tombs.

Day 5 — Kaya Köyü · Fethiye market · departure: Morning at the ghost village, last swim, Fethiye Tuesday Market for Turkish delight & spices, transfer to Dalaman.
